About the Lazy K Ranch and Cherry Farm
The Lazy K Ranch Cherry Farm is family-owned and operated right here in Gilroy, CA. We move out of the burbs to a farming and ranching community to slow down (we sped up... it is a lot of work), enjoy the beautiful outdoors, and teach our children the value of work building something together as a family that is lasting for our children's future.
Here in Gilroy we have the best that Silicon Valley and the Bay Area has to offer combined with good old fashioned outdoor life and hard work. We enjoy being outdoors in the fresh air, caring for farm animals, caring for trees, and a variety of fun outdoor activities. Our boys are teenagers now, so they prefer their Apple products to chores, but we still encourage them to make a contribution by helping out. We are excited to build community and share our ranch with others.
We have plenty of lawn area for you to enjoy a picnic and plenty room to play. We are a family friendly fun place to come and play, but please DO take responsibility for you and your children's safety and decide for yourselves what you are comfortable with and what you feel is safe or unsafe for you and yours while visiting our ranch. Please play here and pet our animals at your own risk using your own judgement and common sense. Remember farm animals can be unpredictable and can bite little fingers. For your safety please do not climb into animal enclosures or climb old fencing around the ranch.
One of our children has special needs and so we especially hope to share our ranch with other special needs families for their enjoyment and provide an atmosphere of love and acceptance. We are mostly wheelchair accessible too! Please come on out and enjoy!
