We use organic practices but are not certified organic. No roundup/glyphosate used to kill weeds. No fertilizers. No sprays used to get fruit to come in early or make fruit larger. Only ORGANIC OMRI certified pest spray used.
Gilroy has more than Garlic! Known for our acres of Garlic fields, and acres of great discount shopping at the Gilroy Outlets, Gilroy also has acres of Cherry orchards with delicious juicy cherries. Some growers allow you to pick your own cherries during the peak season which is usually late May through early June for our varieties. Here at the Lazy K Ranch we have over 1000 cherry trees including Bings, Brooks, and Vans (dark red sweet cherries), all organic use approved sprays only, for your picking enjoyment (please check back often for changes to operating hours).
- Come bring your whole family! Children can easily reach low trees.
- Pick your own beautiful juicy ripe cherries!
- We have not sprayed "roundup" , glyphosate, or any conventional Ag chemicals on ground or trees. Only organic OMRI certified products used on our orchard.
- Picnic on our huge lawn!
- Some shade and seating available!
- Visit our goats and chickens and horses (Sorry, no petting zoo available.)
